Village of El Potrerillo End-of-Summer Tour, August 2025
This summer, a team from Wilson Lumber Company embarked on a mission trip to their sponsored village of El Potrerillo. The goal was simple yet profound: to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
The team spent time with the community, leading Bible school activities, serving daily meals, and providing care through a dental clinic. With AMF support, they also conducted home visits and hosted a fun pizza party, all in the spirit of service and fellowship.
As a Christ-centered business, Wilson Lumber Company is dedicated to its partnership with the people of El Potrerillo, and they encourage employees to participate in mission trips throughout the year. The bond that the team shares with the village grows stronger with each visit.
During our recent August visit, we hosted our first-ever Awakening Hope camping night at the village school. This event kicked off our new "Magnify the Ministry" initiative. Over the next month, our team will spend a night in each of our sponsored villages with a purpose to deepen our relationships with the people, identify their spiritual and physical needs, and prepare for future mission trips.
The night in El Potrerillo was a truly special community event. We shared a meal, held a worship service led by Pastor Jorge, roasted marshmallows, and talked about the Bible around a campfire. Our team spent the night at the school, fully immersed in the community.
The joy and fellowship we experienced were incredible. Check out the video to see some of the incredible moments from our camping night in Potrerillo!
