Village Immersion Program

Our Village Immersion Program focuses on building Christ-centered relationships with the Mayan people. For generations, the Mayans have faced immense poverty, oppression, and neglect, which has unfortunately led to a deep-seated feeling of inferiority. They often view Americans as superior, a perception we strive to change.

We are guided by the teachings of Jesus, who shows us that he loves all people equally, and as children of God, are invited to accept his offer of salvation.  Our goal is to share this message of hope and salvation in the villages we serve. However, years of suffering have made many in the Mayan community skeptical. They begin to believe not just by hearing our words, but by witnessing our actions of service and love.

The Village Immersion Program is designed to put our beliefs into action. Mission teams spend time visiting and praying with families in their homes, sharing an evening meal, and participating in fireside worship services and Bible studies. The ultimate step is spending a night in the village, living alongside the people. For those missionaries who are willing, this experience can be deeply transformative, fostering trust and deepening the bond between our team and the people of the village. This night of ministry often becomes a powerful time of worship and connection.

We encourage partners to consider a Village Immersion night during their mission trips to experience firsthand the power of true community and shared faith.
